Vancouver's Hottest New Rock & Roll Band

Joe Burke - guitar, lead vocals
Joe

Joe and his country-rock alter-ego Big Joe Burke have been playing in bands since the age of 18 when he and a couple of friends started their first band Slaughterhouse (after the Vonnegut novel Slaughterhouse 5).

In the years since Joe has been in a number of bands, singing, playing guitar and writing songs, most recently as Big Joe Burke, releasing 2 albums to critical acclaim.

Shifting focus away from country, Joe formed Community Standards to explore new creative ground and break conventions.

Rob Blackburn - keyboards, guitar, vocals
Rob

Rob has spent his entire life living and breathing music.

He studied and completed piano and musical theory programs with the Royal Conservatory of Music and received his Music Diploma at Humber College of Applied Arts and Technology.

A multi-instrumentalist (including piano, guitar, vocals and trombone, to name just a few), Rob has toured extensively worldwide with numerous bands and has many studio and writing credits.

Terry Bramhall - bass, vocals
Terry

Starting while still in high school, Terry has played bass in an impressive array of bands (everything from progressive rock and new country to classic rock and R&B). Working with Canadian singer-songwriters and producers, he has worked high schools, universities, bars, night clubs and recording studios in Ontario, NY State and the US mid-West.

With his own band (Dillinger) and other bands, Terry has opened for and shared bills with Rush, April Wine, Crowbar, Rita Chiarelli, Lighthouse, King Biscuit Boy, Sammy Hagar, Buddy Guy, The Guess Who and Kim Mitchell.

Terry moved to Vancouver in 2007 and met Big Joe Burke and the band in the early 2010s. The band's re-start under the Community Standards flag began in 2023 and promises fresh and meaning-filled new material with a driving rock sound.

Todd Oliver - drums, percussion
Todd

Todd has been playing drums since the age of 15. He studied with a variety of very talented teachers over the years, and still considers himself a student of the drums.

Todd was a founding member of the 1980’s band Memory Day (indie release “Jenkins Farm”), and later became a member of Taste of Joy releasing their debut CD “Tigger Fables”.

Over the years he has considerable experience in playing live, touring, and recording.

Todd is now pleased to be involved with the band Community Standards, and excited to bring his experience to their music.

See you at the show!
